In October 2019, we were finishing in Nashville an exhausting but dantesque American tour of 32 dates in 39 days. There, Vance Powell, our friend and producer proposed us to record live on tapes in 1 day, 3 titles: a cover of our "F the Bass player" (not yet released) of our "Two Days" (not yet released) and a cover of an American artist. At the beginning of the tour, since we always start in Nashville where our US material is stored, Vance offered us 2 choices: Willy Nelson, Neil Young etc... We obviously had to feel close to the themes of earth, ecology, blues-folk which are also ours. We chose "Rocking the free world" of Neil Young, except that Vance said to us "No, too easy for you guys"... and proposed "Hey Hey My My", "My MY HEY HEY" by making a version a little bit crazy. We locked ourselves up for 2 days in our friend Bill Elder's basement, where we're staying in Nashville, to come up with this version recorded in 1 take, on tape, with vocals included in the room.

Neil Young via his management congratulated us, which completely .... turned us around. Neil being the reference artist in everything at TIC...

We decided to press just 500 copies so that this song recorded in pure analog would not end up just in digital format which would have been nice...but not great.
